Recap: College Park Falcons vs. Athenian Owls
This season hasn't been kind to the College Park Falcons, who are still winless after their fourth match. They fell 63-56 to Athenian on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
College Park's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Michael Wray, who scored 17 points. Owen Palmer was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Among those leading the charge was Surya Devasenapathy, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Lucas, who scored 10 points.
College Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Athenian, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
College Park's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mt. Diablo at 1:00 p.m. on December 9th. Mt. Diablo is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Athenian, they will square off against Lincoln at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lincoln will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 674th, while Athenian is ranked 125th).
