Football Recap: Central Linn Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 35 points the game before, Central Linn was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They came up short against the Toledo Boomers, falling 38-13. The Cobras haven't had much luck with the Boomers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Evan Putnam was a one-man wrecking crew For Toledo. as he rushed for 44 yards and two scores, and also threw for 158 yards and one touchdown on only 12 passes. Another player making a difference was Deshawn Pfaffle, who picked up 109 receiving yards and one TD.

Central Linn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Toledo, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Central Linn will venture away from home to challenge Harrisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Toledo, they will head out to face off against Waldport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Boomers will be up against the Irish's rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
