There's no place like home for Smith Center, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Ellis Railroaders on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Redmen as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

While Smith Center won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Zoey Nixon and Leah McKelvey, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Danni Archer and her nine assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Tatumn Rentschler, each putting up two.

Smith Center's win bumped their record up to 17-13. As for Ellis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-20.
