Basketball Recap: Bethel Comes Up Short

Bethel lost against Meadowdale back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bethel Bees took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Meadowdale Lions.

Meadowdale's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tre'Von Hodges led the charge by going 6-for-14 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. That's the most boards Hodges has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Dy'Lan Branigan, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds.

Bethel's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Meadowdale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.

Bethel has already played their next match, a 51-42 loss against Troy Christian on the 14th. As for Meadowdale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 86-49 defeat against Northridge on the 15th.
