Cleveland and Clayton are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. Cleveland will be playing at home against Clayton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Cleveland lost 13-2 to Corinth Holders on Friday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Clayton unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Garner by a score of 6-5.

Jennings Dunlap was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Clayton is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-5 otherwise. Dunlap was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Cam Bryant made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Clayton is 2-1 when Bryant posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-5 otherwise. Parker Kilpatrick was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Clayton's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Cleveland, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Everything went Cleveland's way against Clayton in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Cleveland made off with a 10-2 win. Does Cleveland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Clayton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
