            The Anson Bearcats are taking a road trip to  challenge the North Stanly Comets  at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Anson was handed a heart-breaking three-point  loss in their last  contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Forest Hills  on Tuesday. Anson blew past Forest Hills 74-48. The Bearcats have beaten the Yellow Jackets the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Yellow Jackets has come to flipping the script.

 Jayden Little continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines,  going 11-for-17  en route to 26  points in addition to six  boards and six  steals. The  matchup was  his 16th in a row with at least 24  points. Another player making a difference was  Taviane Robinson, who  almost  dropped  a triple-double with 11 points, 13  rebounds,  and nine  blocks.
 Anson  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 15  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least nine  offensive boards in 39 consecutive  games  dating back to last season.
 Meanwhile, North Stanly blew past Albemarle, posting  an  86-52 victory. Given the Comets' advantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 186th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 591st), the result  on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
 North Stanly's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Anson, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.
 Things could have been worse for Anson, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took  a  93-75 loss to North Stanly in their previous matchup  back in December of 2023. Can Anson avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
