Baseball Recap: Groton Comes Up Short

Groton lost to Tioga two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Red Hawks lost 11-5 to the Tigers. The Red Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Timothy Forehand made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Groton's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Tioga, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Groton will venture away from home to square off against Newfield at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tioga, they will take on Spencer-Van Etten at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
