Johnson let Churchill stack four runs on them in the sixth inning on Thursday but luckily Johnson prevailed anyway. The Jaguars came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chargers, sneaking past 8-6. That's two games straight that the Jaguars have won by exactly two runs.

The victory made it two in a row for Johnson and bumps their season record up to 13-11. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Churchill, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Johnson will take on rival Clark at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Churchill is set to challenge their familiar foe LEE at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
