Baseball Recap: George Washington Comes Up Short

George Washington fell victim to Denver East and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Angels, falling 6-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

George Washington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Zemel, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

George Washington's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Denver East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

George Washington will face off against DSST: Montview at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Denver East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
