Basketball Game Preview: Pershing County Mustangs vs. Wells Leopards

Having just played yesterday, the Pershing County Mustangs will get right back to it and host the Wells Leopards at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pershing County took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 63-50 victory over Yerington.

Meanwhile, Wells can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. Everything went their way against Carlin as Wells made off with a 50-24 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Leopards have posted since December 14, 2024.

Pershing County's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Wells, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10.

Everything came up roses for Pershing County against Wells in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, as the squad secured a 49-21 win. Will Pershing County repeat their success, or does Wells have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
