Soccer Game Preview: Laguna Beach vs. Yucaipa

The Laguna Beach Breakers will challenge the Yucaipa Thunderbirds at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Laguna Beach comes in on five and Yucaipa on four.

Laguna Beach is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Santa Ana 2-1. Given the Breakers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Saints are ranked 109th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Yucaipa won against California on Wednesday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Saturday. Yucaipa won by a goal and slipped past Beckman 2-1. That's two games straight that the Thunderbirds have won by just one goal.

Yucaipa's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Laguna Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.
