Basketball Recap: Calvary Academy Takes a Loss

Calvary Academy saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They lost 65-43 to the Rocket City Falcons. The Warrior have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Calvary Academy lost, don't look at Shawn Fraumeni. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Calvary Academy is 4-2 when Fraumeni posts ten or more boards, but 6-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kieran Riccobono, who posted eight points and five assists.

Even though they lost, Calvary Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. This was only their second loss (out of seven games) when they hit their own glass that hard.

Calvary Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Rocket City, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-21.

Calvary Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rocket City, they have already played their next game, a 52-35 win against Mt. Pleasant Christian on the 6th.
