Football Game Preview: River Ridge Timberwolves vs. Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca

The River Ridge Timberwolves will take on Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, River Ridge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 34-30 to Iowa-Grant.

Meanwhile, Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca entered their matchup against Potosi/Cassville on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca fell 33-27 to Potosi/Cassville. The contest was a 13-13 toss-up at halftime, but Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca couldn't quite close it out.

River Ridge will need to focus on slowing down Hunter Hagensick, one of several Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 61 yards and one TD on only seven carries, and also picked up 40 receiving yards and one score. Cooper Lomas was another key player, throwing for 79 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for River Ridge, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

River Ridge took their win against Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 27-7 score. Do the Timberwolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
