Ashville entered their tilt with Ragland on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Purple Devils by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Ashville was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-10.

Lydia Northam paced Ashville's offense, picking up seven kills. Northam got some help from Ryleigh Cothran and her 11 assists. Northam and Cothran didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with six apiece.

Ashville's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Ragland, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Ashville and Ragland will both be playing Gaylesville the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will host the Trojans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Purple Devils will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
