Softball Recap: Hilltop Lancers vs. Sweetwater Red Devils

Hilltop came into Monday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Sweetwater Red Devils with a sharp 18-6 win on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hilltop also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.

Elijah Medina was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off four hits. Medina has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.
