Baseball Recap: Oak Grove Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Petal

Oak Grove faced Petal in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Warriors won by a run and slipped past the Panthers 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Eli Wheat and Kendrell Roberts did most of the damage at the plate: Wheat went 2-for-3 with two runs, while Roberts went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Booth Jr, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
