Basketball Game Preview: LaFayette Ramblers vs. Calhoun Yellow Jackets

Having just played yesterday, the LaFayette Ramblers will head out on the road to face off against the Calhoun Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

On Friday, LaFayette ended up a good deal behind Adairsville and lost 61-43. The Ramblers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Calhoun waltzed into their contest on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They breezed by the Panthers to the tune of 88-51. The Yellow Jackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Calhoun's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points over those games. As for LaFayette, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.

LaFayette came up short against Calhoun in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 64-54. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Calhoun's Jaxon Moore, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards.
