Baseball Game Recap: Anadarko Warriors vs. Western Heights Jets

Anadarko extended their losing streak to six on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 4-19 in the process. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-7 to the Western Heights Jets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-7 on Thursday.

As for Western Heights, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-11. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games.

For Western Heights' part, the team relied heavily on Caden Wiebusch, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. The Jets are 5-1 when Wiebusch posts two or more runs, but 8-10 otherwise. Keziah Howell was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Anadarko and Western Heights could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Warriors (ranked 372nd) will meet Purcell (ranked 78th) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Western Heights will square off against Riverside Indian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (244 vs. 94).
