St. Xavier came tearing into Friday's match with 12 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Archbishop Moeller Fighting Crusaders. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win back in April.

While St. Xavier won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21, 26-24.

Among those leading the charge was Luke Sorce, who had 13 digs and four assists.

Archbishop Moeller's loss came despite strong showings from Tyler Wong and Danny McAneny. Wong had 13 digs and one assist, while McAneny had eight digs. Elvis Arvay also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

St. Xavier's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-1. As for Archbishop Moeller, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-6.

Looking ahead, St. Xavier will head out to square off against Roncalli at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Royals will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Bombers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Archbishop Moeller, they will challenge Lakota West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fighting Crusaders are facing the Firebirds at the right time seeing as the Firebirds are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
