Burlington Christian Academy had won four straight games and Ali Moldt did her part to make it five on Friday. The Royals came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the River Mill Jaguars with plenty of help from Moldt, who had seven digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Burlington Christian Academy got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-16, 27-29, 15-13.

Leading Burlington Christian Academy to victory were Anna Wilson and Sammy Dove. Wilson had 14 digs and one assist, while Dove had 26 kills, 14 digs, three aces, and one block. Those 26 kills gave Dove a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Burlington Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in five consecutive matches.

River Mill's loss came despite strong showings from Ja'Siah Mack and Savanna Dishmon. Mack had 23 digs, while Dishmon had 19 digs, seven kills, and one block.

Burlington Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for River Mill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.
