St. Mary had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Cliffside Park on Tuesday. The Gaels' pitchers stepped up to hand the Raiders a 14-0 shutout. The Gaels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

St. Mary's victory bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Cliffside Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season.

St. Mary will take on St. Joseph Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Green Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Gaels' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Cliffside Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
