Volleyball Recap: Monticello Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Alayna Opatz and Ada Nelson

Monticello managed to slip by Princeton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Magic lost 3-0 to the Tigers on Tuesday. Magic fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Tigers since Tuesday.

Despite the defeat, Monticello had strong showings from Ada Nelson, who had nine digs and two assists, and Alayna Opatz, who had nine kills and seven digs.

Monticello's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 19-9. As for Princeton, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-4.

As of now, neither Monticello nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
