Softball Recap: Denham Springs Comes Up Short

If Denham Springs was feeling good fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Northshore last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Denham Springs Yellowjackets came up short against the Live Oak Eagles on Tuesday, falling 16-0. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Denham Springs' loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Live Oak, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Bugs Denham Springs Yellowjackets challenge Albany Hornets at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Live Oak, they will square off against Notre Dame at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
