Game recap: Cornerstone Christian Academy defeats Wray

WESTMINSTER, Colo. - After two lead changes, Cornerstone Christian Academy (Westminster, Colo.) took the lead for the win when Nathaniel Ruble thew a touchdown to Nick Lubin with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter and held on to upset Wray (Colo.) 35-28 on Saturday.

The Bulldogs grew their lead to 12 points entering the fourth quarter. Cornerstone Christian Academy scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown.

The victory was a step in the right direction for CCA, which was coming off a 42-14 defeat at the hands of Holyoke in its previous game.

In a 1A North Central game next week Cornerstone Christian Academy (4-1) takes on Highland, and Wray (2-3) will go up against Wiggins also in a 1A North Central game.
