Basketball Preview: Crawford County Wolfpack vs. Perry Central Commodores
Crawford County is 10-0 against the Commodores since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Crawford County Wolfpack will face off against the Perry Central Commodores at 7:00 p.m. Crawford County will be strutting in after a win while the Commodores will be coming in after a defeat.
With a playoff game on the line, Crawford County rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 43-36. Given Crawford County's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Vikings are ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Perry Central came up short against the Marksmen last Thursday and fell 37-29. Perry Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Crawford County's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Perry Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
Crawford County took their victory against the Commodores in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 by a conclusive 49-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crawford County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
