South Effingham needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Benja Crofts. The Mustangs strolled past the Savannah Bluejackets with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 53-38 thanks in part to Crofts, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. He is becoming a predictor of South Effingham's success: when he posts at least eight boards the team is 2-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).

Another player making a difference was Marcus Campbell, who posted four points and five steals. Campbell is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

South Effingham's record is now 2-4. As for Savannah, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

South Effingham has already played their next matchup, a 52-49 loss against Beach on the 25th. As for Savannah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-69 victory against Groves on the 25th.
