Volleyball Recap: Addison Deba's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Stony Point over Round Rock

If Stony Point was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of McNeil on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Round Rock Dragons on Friday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-19.

Stony Point's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Deba, who had 14 digs and one assist. Deba has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Aubree Bagley, who had ten digs and six assists.

Stony Point now has a losing record of 18-19. As for Round Rock, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Stony Point will take on rival Cedar Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Round Rock is set to square off against their familiar foe Manor at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
