Recap: La Porte Bulldogs vs. Sterling Rangers
On Friday, The La Porte Bulldogs got themselves on the board against the Sterling Rangers, but the Sterling Rangers never followed suit. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 34-0 victory over the Rangers. The result was nothing new for La Porte, who have now won four games by 28 points or more so far this season.
La Porte got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyresse Barnes out in front who rushed for 118 yards on only seven carries. Barnes is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Keenan Lawrence and his 130 yards on the ground were also a key factor in La Porte's win.
The win makes it two in a row for La Porte and bumps their season record up to 7-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24 points. As for Sterling, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
La Porte will be playing at home against Crosby at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Crosby is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Sterling, they will head out on the road to face off against Goose Creek Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Goose Creek Memorial is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
