Softball Recap: North Summit Takes a Loss

North Summit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the Corner Canyon Chargers.

KENDRIE COMER and ASHLYN LEFLER did some serious damage despite the final result: COMER got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run, while LEFLER went 4-for-5 with two runs and one RBI. RAYLAN WOOLSEY was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

North Summit's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Corner Canyon, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-11 record.

Coming up, North Summit will host Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Corner Canyon, they are taking a road trip to challenge Skyline at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
