Basketball Recap: Lafayette Drops Season-High Score on York

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lafayette). They blew past the York Falcons, posting a 64-21 victory. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Sarah Lynch, who posted 31 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was MaKayla Keys, who had seven points along with nine assists and seven steals.

Despite the loss, York still got an impressive performance from Kenlee Washington, who scored 12 points.

Lafayette has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.4 points over those games. As for York, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Coincidentally, Lafayette and York will both be playing Tabb the next time they take the court. York will host Tabb at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Lafayette will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
