Shawnee Mission North came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Shawnee Mission East Lancers, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for Shawnee Mission North in their meetings with Shawnee Mission East: they've now lost five in a row.

Shawnee Mission North's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Shawnee Mission East, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2-1.
