Basketball Recap: Lakeland Piles Up the Points Against South Bend Career Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeland). They took their matchup on Monday with ease, bagging a 74-18 win over the South Bend Career Academy Trailblazers. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Lakers with their most commanding win of the season.

Lakeland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dulce Canedo led the charge by putting up 18 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Canedo is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was McKenzie Carlson, who went 7-for-12 en route to 18 points and six rebounds.
