Soccer Recap: Central Crossing Takes a Loss

Central Crossing lost against New Albany back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Comets lost 3-0 to the Eagles. While losing is never fun, Central Crossing can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 331st, while New Albany are ranked second).

Central Crossing has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for New Albany, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 9-1-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Crossing will host Franklin Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Albany, they will face off against Whetstone at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. New Albany's defense better be ready for this one: Whetstone have averaged an impressive 2.8 goals per game this season.
