Basketball Game Preview: Long Island City Bulldogs vs. Metropolitan

After both having extra time off, the Long Island City Bulldogs and Metropolitan will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Long Island City will be strutting in after a victory while Metropolitan will be coming in after a loss.

Two weeks ago, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Long Island City beat Newcomers 52-46. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Metropolitan scored the most points they've had this season last Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 82-62 to Newtown. Metropolitan just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.

Metropolitan's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Long Island City, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Long Island City ended up a good deal behind Metropolitan when the teams last played back in January, losing 57-38. Can Long Island City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
