Midland Legacy has gone a perfect 10-0 against Permian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rebels will venture away from home to square off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Midland Legacy is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Midland just ended the team's nine-match winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rebels have suffered since November 5, 2024.

While Midland Legacy was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 26-24, 29-27, 25-22.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Permian duked it out with Frenship on Friday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Tigers. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-13, 25-23.

Permian's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Midland Legacy, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 26-12.

Midland Legacy took their win against Permian when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
