After flying high against Mission Hills last Wednesday, San Marcos came back down to earth. San Marcos took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Santa Fe Christian Eagles on Friday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Isaac Esquer was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024.
