Football Game Preview: Claymont Mustangs vs. Liberty Leopards

The Claymont Mustangs will head out to square off against the Liberty Leopards at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Claymont is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Indian Valley on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Mustangs had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Braves. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Meanwhile, Liberty had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Pirates 55-20. The result was nothing new for the Leopards, who have now won six matchups by 29 points or more so far this season.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Claymont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
