Softball Recap: Lockhart Takes a Loss

Lockhart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Glenn Grizzlies, falling 15-4. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Grizzlies from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Lockhart saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Villarreal, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Genesis Lopez was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Lockhart's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Glenn, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Lockhart Lions challenge Liberty Hill Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lockhart has given up an average of 8.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Glenn, they will welcome Lehman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
