With a playoff win on the line, Flomaton rose to the challenge on Friday. They put the hurt on the Southside Panthers with a sharp 18-3 victory. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Flomaton has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Southside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Flomaton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
