Recap: Eastside Eagles vs. Riverside Warriors
The Eastside Eagles have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to Riverside at home by a decisive 63-46 margin on Tuesday. Eastside has struggled against Riverside recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Miracle Cheeks, who scored 16 points along with three steals. Cheeks is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Laila Harvey was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Riverside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyndal Haroski led the charge by scoring 15 points. Another player making a difference was Elly Trickett, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Eastside's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4. As for Riverside, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.
