Softball Recap: McKinley Bulldogs vs. Canton South Wildcats
McKinley's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They never let the Canton South Wildcats get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.
McKinley got a great performance from Morgan Daniels as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Daniels a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Hailey Smith was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Elijahne Smith was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
McKinley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The win got McKinley back to even at 6-6. As for Canton South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Canton South beat McKinley by a score of 12-2 later that day.
