Basketball Recap: Kirk Academy Comes Up Short

Kirk Academy played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots and fell 54-15. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-8.

Caeden Harvey was the offensive standout of the game as he went 5-for-8 to rack up 15 points. What's more, he also posted a 63% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Another player making a difference was Dylan Dixon, who posted six points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Kirk Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Madison-Ridgeland Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Madison-Ridgeland Academy has already played their next contest, a 72-44 victory against Bayou Academy on the 13th. Hopefully Kirk Academy paid attention to the Patriots' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Patriots at 7:45 p.m. on Monday.
