Buena came tearing into Monday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Desert View Jaguars, posting an 84-49 win. That's more bragging rights for the Colts, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Buena's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kingston Clarke, who went 7 for 12 en route to 18 points. That's the most points Clarke has posted since back in December of 2023. Jamin Booker was another key player, going 8 of 13 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Buena smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Buena has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Desert View, their loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buena will venture away from home to square off against Cienega at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Cienega's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Desert View, they will head out to take on Flowing Wells at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Desert View is facing Flowing Wells at the right time seeing as Flowing Wells is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
