Basketball Recap: Sleepy Eye Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Springfield, Sleepy Eye was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the St. Mary's Knights by a score of 78-66. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Knights back in January, they had to take a 70-57 defeat.

Sleepy Eye has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-14 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points over those games. As for St. Mary's, they dropped their record down to 12-14 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Sleepy Eye will take on Cleveland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mary's has already played their next matchup (against Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
