Basketball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Southlake Carroll Dragons, falling 57-30. While losing is never fun, the Texans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 659th, while the Dragons are ranked 206th).

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Southlake Carroll, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7.

When Northwest and Southlake Carroll next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Northwest will try to stop Byron Nelson's three-game winning streak when the meet at 11:45 a.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Southlake Carroll will challenge Bell and their three-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
