Softball Recap: Indio Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Indio extended their winning streak to four on Monday, bumping their season record up to 14-10 in the process. They blew past the Yucca Valley Trojans 15-5. The Rajahs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Indio got a massive performance out of Audra Higgins, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaeda Diaz, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Indio kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive games.

As for Yucca Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9-1. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly ten runs.

On Yucca Valley's side, Leila Schwab made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Gabbi Roses was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Indio wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-1 loss against Aquinas on the 29th. As for Yucca Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-3 victory against Coachella Valley on the 1st.
