Baseball Recap: Excelsior Charter Comes Up Short

Excelsior Charter lost against Barstow back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Excelsior Charter came up short against Barstow, falling 18-8. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Excelsior Charter saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jevon Gordon, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Excelsior Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Barstow, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Excelsior Charter will square off against University Prep at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Excelsior Charter's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Barstow, they will face off against Silverado at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
