Basketball Game Preview: Watersmeet Nimrods vs. Dollar Bay Bays

The Watersmeet Nimrods will face off against the Dollar Bay Bays at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Watersmeet is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 21st straight game dating back to last season back in December of 2024. They were dealt an 82-20 loss at the hands of L'Anse.

Meanwhile, Dollar Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 62-7 loss at the hands of Hancock. The contest marked the Bays' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Aubrey Karppinen was Dollar Bay's leading scorer, having posted three points.

Watersmeet's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Dollar Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Things could have been worse for Watersmeet, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-36 loss to Dollar Bay in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Watersmeet, Adelyn Swain (who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
