The Winter Haven Christian Warriors had to endure an eight-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They took down Ridge Christian Academy 63-45 on Tuesday. Winter Haven Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Despite the loss, Ridge Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Kurtis Colon scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Feuntes, who scored six points.
Winter Haven Christian's victory bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Ridge Christian Academy, they bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Winter Haven Christian will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Excel Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. Excel Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three games. Ridge Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Land O' Lakes Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th.
