Softball Game Preview: Prairie Ridge Wolves vs. Crystal Lake South Gators

The Prairie Ridge Wolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Crystal Lake South Gators at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Prairie Ridge will be strutting in after a victory while Crystal Lake South will be coming in after a loss.

Prairie Ridge was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Jacobs on Monday. The Wolves put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 9-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Crystal Lake South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Dundee-Crown, falling 15-5.

Prairie Ridge's win bumped their record up to 13-1-2. As for Crystal Lake South, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Everything went Prairie Ridge's way against Crystal Lake South in their previous matchup on April 9th, as Prairie Ridge made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
